what makes up the hp differance between the ccka and the cckb i know the charging system is differant but that would not make any differance  is it just the carb and manifold?

I'm no expert, but being a 616-720 owner, that is my understanding after years of research. The primary difference being a downdraft carb vs a side-draft carb.

intake manifold is long runner vs short runner as well, air velocity = cfm

The engines are also spec'd to run at different RPM's.  The CCKB achieves max power with a higher max rpm spec.  I have not known this to be an issue in the tractor world, but if you poke around Onan engine/generator forums, you will find many jokes about wearing a catcher's mitt when running a CCKB, due to the flying rods.

i have a cckb engine here i do not even know if it runs or not but i just got gaskets to put the b manifold and carb on
