How big a deal is it to pull an engine out of an older Gleaner combine?

I was visiting with one of my cousins today and we were talking about the CA I got from our mutual uncle. I told him that I had ordered a replacement manifold for it and he tells me I need to come get the engines out of his old gleaners, that and the engine rebuild kit that is still in the box.

The model "CA" engine ( or any of it's newer versions) were never used in any Gleaner combine.

Bummer. Now the question is is my cousin just calling his old combine a gleaner or is he mistaken that the machines ran the same engine. I'll have to check into that. He seemed pretty sure they were the same engine.
Oh well, if not no big loss.

The model e gleaner used a 226 cubic inch engine, very similar to a WD45, nearly identical to a late D-17.  Others used a chevy 292.

What if it is an all crop with a power unit? Which engine would that be?
