I know a little bit on them. They can have #78 row units that are individually driven by the press wheel vs the line shaft driven by the planter transport wheels on the 330. The frame is quite a bit bigger too.

Back in their day I bought a new 4 row with 78 units. Also available were the 74 units but I went with the air units. Mine was the 333 "no till special" which had different frame configuration that put the no-till coulters just 12 inches ahead of the disk openers and dry fertilizer openers in the front. Equiped with depth gauge wheels,seed firming wheels and down pressure springs it did a great job in no-till corn.

333 was the planter frame. Whatever units they chose to put on it?? who knows.

Thanks for your information. I have found one. It’s No Till. 30” space liquid Fert. . I am just getting started farming. I am hopping it will work I haven’t saw it yet

How many acres are you going to plant each year? Not to knock a 333 but at the current price of inputs you should consider a different planter. I started out with an Allis 600 4 row planter and dad had a 333. Both were plate planters and in good condition. A major issue with plate planters is that seed corn is no longer graded as good as it was 40 years ago. I bought a used Deere 7200 and my yeilds improved from better and more acurate seed placement and a much better closing wheel setup. In my area (southern WI) there are plenty of good used 7000 planters that can be bought for $2500 or less. Now if you are just planting just a few acres or farming for fun the Allis would work fine. I have a Deere 494A that I use on a few acres as a toy. Before you buy a 333 make sure it has the sprockets you need for the population you want to plant. They are getting harder to find and more expensive. Another advantage to the Deere is almost every part on it is available aftermarket. Finding something like a fiberglass seed hopper for a 333 is getting harder. Tom

To add to Tom's information, if you do go with this or another plate type planter, I strongly recommend you ask your seed supplier for MEDIUM FLAT seeds. They aren't graded as well as they should be as Tom said, but these will work the best of choices out there.

No not yet I would like to buy a D-17 or 19. Also a Gleaner Combine.
