Have any of you had one yet ? Other than the (I assume) a stiff cost, are they a decent sandwich ?? IMO, Arby's GYRO sandwiches are MORE than worth the $$ ; 2/$6 Clap

is the gyro a true gyro, with the meat actually is mutton or lamb? Or just some type of concoction with cream & dill sauce squirted all over it?

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

we had one yesterday .  You get 3 pieces of meat on your bun. It was good , we decided that we liked the brisket sandwich better .

Only Fast Food joint I have eaten in of the last several years is DQ, prefer REAL food not some designed or engineered meat on a fresh bun that will not degrade.  Local eateries and better bar food shops we will eat fairly often at buy local meats or meat products as burger/sausage, from local farms, using breads from local bakeries, taters or fries or even tots are generally frozen but are fine.

No, they’re not the real deal. If I recall, they have beef and chicken. But they are pretty tasty. Haven’t had a real lamb gyro in years! Mmmm

Is a Gyro specialty shop in Washington MO, they do use lamb, have quite a following in immigrants to that area.

Thanks for the reply Tbone Clap. All I can say to Lars is that 18 years ago, I bought a "lamb burger" at our local 4-H fair, I had 1 bite, spit it out, and threw the sandwich in the trash can, it "tasted" like the smell of the creaturesTongueTongue !!

Sadly, I bought a rib sandwich from Arby's last week, it was "OK" , but NOT worth the $$ Cry !! The McRib is still a better sandwich/$$ IMO Smile

Just tried their new boneless wings a few days ago. They had a special- 6 wings and small fries for $5. For an extra $1 you got 9 wings.

Pulled my fries out of the bag, reached in to pull the box of wings out and the wings fell out of the box into the bottom of the bag. They had laid the box on its side instead of flat.

Dumped the wings on a plate and ate them. Not too bad except for a few had a little "chicken gristle" in them. Not as good as Applebee's though.

We have had the Arby's rib sandwitch three tikes so far. Last time was today for lunch, It is REAL rib meat.  I would guess it will be our go lunch when I am working and Dixie is not able to be up and around. More meat that the McRib sandwich that i have had in the past that is processed formed piece..  The one problem I have with the Arby's ribs pices will fall out on  my bibs and leave BBQ sause stain that the kittens think they need to clean up when I pick them up outside.
