What is the correct wheel spacing for a 4-16 allis snap coupler plow I think it is a 74 or an 84. it has trip beams. I am setting up my d-19 again for plowing.  I asked this question last year about this time, but I can not remember.

I believe with any snap coupler plow you want the furrow wheel set all the way in.

We set our 180 and D-17  out.  D-17 pulls a 4-16 AC#74 plow.
180 pulls a 4-16 AC 2000 plow.

I looked in a plow manual at a chart....a 4-16 plow should have a wheel spacing of 27-28 inches measured from center of tractor to the inside wall of furrow tire.

Eldon with 3 bottom plows the right tire is set in, with 4 bottoms it's set out.  The way a 4 bottom is arranged on the frame the inside bottom sets out to the right.  Mike

Oops...guess you can tell that I have only pulled the 2 and 3 bottom plows. I would think that if in doubt you could eyeball the end of the lay and just make sure it is in line with the inside of the tire or better.
