A customer of mine has an IH 843 corn head 4 row 30" that he would like to sell.  He is asking $100 for it.  Seems to be in good shape, he just went to a 6 row.  How hard would it be to adapt it to my Gleaner F?  Anyone done this conversion before?
Thanks
Adam

Anything is possible with a torch and some welding.  My uncle mounted a New Holland cornhead on his JD 6600 and did fine with it..  You will need an adapter or make something .  I would think a $100 could find you a decent orange 4-30 head, and make  life alot easier.

Around here it is common to put Deere grainheads on Gleaners with an adaptor.  Never saw an IH on one.  Could be good trade bait for a Gleaner though!
