Had 31 degrees recorded on the thermometer last night and very white all over this morning; frost in the forecast for tonight too. Covered the strawberries last night after the wind died down since they are in full bloom. Wouldn't want to loose them. Saw a field of soy beans yesterday that were up enough to row so wonder what they will be like now. Still some ponds in fields from the 2.6 in. of rain we had last Friday and Sunday. The ground was fairly damp before the rain. Freezing temps have knocked the asparagus down two times before too; haven't looked at it yet this morning.

Got down to 33 a couple nights ago.  Apple trees are just starting to blossom, maybe, just maybe will have a few this year!  Up to 13" of snow 20 miles NW of me in Rocky Mountain National Park.  North eastern Colorado is the only part of the state not in drought status.  Nearly 3" of moisture since the first of May, over 3" last month.  It's as green as Ireland!

Colder than a well digger's ass (miss Les) again this morning, 31, scraping windows.  Some guys got in on the "early beans" bandwagon this year.  Not thinking they're any too thrilled.

Frost again this morning and believe it or not the weather guys didn't say anything about it yesterday afternoon. Lots of white everywhere. When will it end?
Canadians? Thought the border was closed.
