Does anyone make a DURABLE blue denim bib overall? Or blue denim with double front like my unlined Carhart double fronts?

Have been wearing Key's, but they are wearing out in the knee way before the rest of bib is done.

Pointer bibs, now L.C.King, in Bristol TN will custom fit for bibs and were still using good denim but I'm not sure now. Look up L.C.king on the innerweb. Since carhart went to a poorer quality material I been wearing keys

I’ve always worn Round House since they’re made right here in Oklahoma. They’ve been good for me.

Shameless... if you got that problem, you needs some bigger bibs!

Have a couple pair on the way from Round House. Last two pair of Key's.....one made in Mexico, the other in China.

Carharts have also changed......and they make so many options, hard to know which is what.

Other brands that I used to remember were Big Smith, Liberty and Osh Kosh. Either gone or quality seems to be gone. Also seems that many of those were all made in a small local region of SW MO, SE Kansas and OK. Must have been a Midwest thing.

Have a pair of Liberty overalls I wear pretty often . Got them at TSC . My biggest complaint is the shoulder straps fall off when I'm working . If I tighten them up I have the same problem Shameless has . My old Carhartt overalls have elastic straps .

Popular Mechanics did a review of overalls last year.  They also list the weight of the denim on each brand and which are made in the USA. I did not know Carhartt had cut the quality of their overalls; thanks for the information on that.

I have the same problem with the shoulder straps ...I guess my shoulder is no square enough! I wear keys mostly and yes the knees and front of the legs wear out too fast!
And it is funny to see how this subject went south real fast! Girls in bibs!!

I need to see about finding some Round House overalls. I don't think I have ever seen them.

Well it can be done! You make sure to keep track of the straps!

that cell phone pocket on the carharts is the only one thats deep enought to clip a pen  pencil  or other small itams , but have you ever tryed to clip a pen on a zipper?

Aside from being comfortable to wear, one of the benefits of bibs is all those handy pockets on your chest. My smart phone fits perfect. Not so with straight blue jeans, and hate to have that hanging on my belt.

BTW, just looked and the Keys have a pencil pocket, watch pocket, two deep front pockets, one open top with snap closure and one flap top with snap closure. The hickory stripe is a heavier fabric than the blue denim. But in both cases, all they would need to do is add double fronts on the high wear spots on the knees.

If one were handy with sewing, you could probably do that yourself, but would be far easier to do at the factory. There they can add the double fronts before they close up the leg seams.

If the Round House bibs look good, I will probably contact them and ask if they will make that an option.

I wear Bib Overalls in winter and no problem with the straps. Did hear my Uncle tell of a feller up North Deer hunting and had been drinking and went to the outhouse and when he came back, well you can imagine what was on his straps!

Round House bibs arrived yesterday. Brown duck has double fronts and look sturdy. Hickory stripe looks sturdy. Blue denim fabric looks to be about the same as the Keys. Pretty thin. Perhaps thin is the industry standard these days?

Jury is still out on the chest pocket layout too.

I've got some Lo-Bak Pointers that the left knee wore through; I 'm going to have my seamstress try to make them into shorts! (With the promise that I will not leave the property with them on!)  My dad would always say, "About the time they (JC Penney "Big Macs") get comfortable, they're worn out!"  R. Musgrave

and to the porta pot thing    it doesnt matter what lou you use, you know ifn a wearin bibs you gotta tuck the straps as well as the front but its easy once you get used to it
