Who has the best flexible disc harrow drags?  I want one that has tines on it. Where can they be bought? Thanks Tracy

Name I always heard was Fuerst Harrow.  As for where, good question.  Almost every farm store has a knock off brand of chain harrow, some good, some not so good. original Fuerst has tines, that can be pulled backwards for more aggressive action, or you can assemble it any which way you please...Wink

I have the one with tines, not disc. I mainly use it on the arena but also use in pastures or over manure not getting tilled in. It has 3 useable positions(forward light, backward heavy, upside down like a drag chain). Ordered through TSC in sections, I went with (2) 4’ x 8’ pieces and wish I bought smaller options because it is almost too heavy to flip as one unit.

Looks like Wingfield American Harrow now manufactures the Fuerst harrow.  Interesting history.

They sell direct through these guys:

The 3 point hitch design looks like a good idea instead of manhandling a heavy mat.  Not cheap though.

I had one here that was set up like that. I didn’t like the following; had to use tractor with 3pt hitch, not nearly as handy for what I’m doing as I flip it around several times through the year for different task, not as Versatile, sometimes when doing something like a larger field covering grass seed, I set it up for 16’, and of course it takes longer to hook any 3pt over a draw bar pin. In my mind although sometimes I would like a transport, simple is good. Under worse case situations, I just use a loader to move or flip( only a few times in 7 or so years).

That is not what I was intending. I want one that bolts to back of disc harrow. Raises  when the disc is raised. I have seen them at farm sales but were bigger than I needed. I can't find one anywhere, but I know they still make them. Thanks tracy

Look up Remlinger Mfg, they still offer a 3 or 4 bar coil (spring) tine mounted harrow. Mcfarlane only has spike tooth mounted harrows.
