Son and grand son worked with the gals today. They spent all day splitting hives, installing the gals in new "homes". Each one got a new queen bee. 54 new bee hives. That'll give us about 80 hives as some of them are sold. Queen bees were $30.00 each. They came from California. randolhoneyfarm.com should have more info if anyone is interested. My darn back hurt me so bad today, I sat on a chair and overhauled 37 screened bottom boards, rebuilt 7 lids, made a couple of insulated lids, all while sitting on a chair and walking to the table saw about 20' away.

The guys in California must have fed these gals well. They are flying everywhere today and they have crapped all over most everything outside. Little yellow streaks all over.
