My fellow Canadians here know what the government is (and isn't) doing about the virus BS.  If you are feeling down, do what I do - buy another tractor!
I just happened to find someone selling 2 CAs.  One was a 1952 with a crappy repaint and a pin hitch that looked a bit rough under that shiny paint.  I immediately turned my attention to this 1955 CA with a 2 furrow snap coupler plow and 8' snap coupler cultivator.  An unmolested 2 owner original with factory side weights, rear wheel weights and complete 6 volt system.  Can't remember the last time I've seen a 6 volt system crank over an engine that nicely.  No smoke, all the gears work, hand clutch works properly.
So how much would you pay for a good running CA with the plow, cultivator and extra sheet metal?  I paid what the seller was asking:  $1500!  I also got an extra set of fenders and hood the guy had in the barn!  I didn't see any need to negotiate!  Been a long time since I felt this good!

Well D, if those tractors wouldn't cheer someone up they would be pretty far gone. Let us know / see what you do with them. Thanks for the pictures.

That was a great buy, CA’s are good little tractors. Put a L306 belly mower on one of them and you have a really good yard mower that will knock out 6’ of grass at a time. Ours has been doing that for the past 20 years.

Thanks for the good words!
To answer everyone's questions:
wjohn - the front hitch is homemade, but nicely done.  It is bolted on (not welded fortunately).  It will be coming off in the next day or so!  If you are interested in it, send me a PM.
Jay - sorry, I already have 2 D14s.  Don't need anymore.  Several other duplicates:  2 D15s, 2 D17s, 2 WD45s ... is there a pattern here???
Ed - you are welcome anytime whenever you are out for a drive, just give me a heads up.  Haven't decided what to do with this one yet.  It will have a good home either way.  The guy I bought it from was happy to hear that!

Was a nice day so I hooked up the plow and headed for the field.  Kind of funny:  previous owner kept the plow in the barn and the tractor outside.  Usually the other way around!
I will say that the plow is in excellent condition and the moldboards hardly show any wear.
Don't know if it was set up properly since I don't have a manual for it (yet).  Wasn't going too deep in light soil, so it was not working too hard.  I will say this:  the Nelson muffler that I ordered cannot get here soon enough!  That Stanley has to go!

One more thing?  Any idea why someone would take a cutting torch to the right rear wheel center?  Just curious.  Fortunately I got a good spare in the deal.
