The Governor proclaimed March 20 "No Meat Day" a couple weeks ago, Today he proclaimed March 22 "Colorado Livestock Proud Day".  I know he was getting a lot of heat from the AG sector.  A friend of mine is AG Commissioner and some of the things the Governor has said has made her job "difficult".

Dale, we've known that for years! LOL

Governor Polis Proclaims March 22 as Colorado Livestock Proud Day

Since before statehood, Colorado has been known as livestock country. Agriculture’s rich heritage began with livestock herds on the Eastern Plains and expanded to summer pastures in the mountains. Today, livestock operations of all sizes can be found across Colorado. Cattle and sheep and other livestock thrive here and collectively these industries represent significant economic value. Livestock has an economic impact approaching $5 billion annually in Colorado, with a healthy percentage of that impact taking place in rural communities. Additionally, livestock grazing on land not suited for farming provides ecological and environmental benefits. We welcome the Governor’s recognition of the livestock sector for being an essential cornerstone of Colorado agriculture.”
Statement by Rocky Mountain Farmers Union President Dr. Dale McCall
