Carb on a G has had slow leak all season, always just turned the gas off when parking it.  Finally took it off to see about a fix, propped the top half up by the float with a dummy tank to see if the needle would suffice to shut off the gas, and I decided to pour some gas in the bowl just to check.  Sure enough, float stayed dry all night and a little pool formed under the bowl.  Ok, I thought I could maybe figure out which screw was leaking by drying everything well and pouring just a little gas in.  Hours later, no puddle, nothing shiny on either screw's threads.  Carefully added more gas to the bowl, and actually could watch it "climb" up like a sponge and reach the rim.  Waited a bit, and sure enough the whole outside of the bowl was wet after a couple hours with a puddle below it.  The gas climbs out.  Maybe if I tighten the whole unit it back together with its gasket it will stay inside.  Anyone seen this before?  Does it maybe imply that the bowl is filling too high and need to bend the float down?  Thanks in advance.
