I just tried to search for 14.9 X 28 tires. Firestone won't let me see farm or agricultural tires, Goodyear sent me to the Titan website and it wants me to watch commercials or read about investing in the company. Am I missing the online catalogs that will let me see their products? What other brands have you guys been buying?

I thought it would be simple to do some reseach before I started pricing. I think I'd better go to bed instead.

Titan produces all of Goodyear's farm tires. It says right on my new rears "By Titan". You're going to have to contact a dealer for actual pricing. A couple years ago, my 16.9-28's were $450 ea.

Check out Nebraska Tire, not that far from you, I drove to Nebraska City for 14.9's and spin out rims for the WD45 a few years ago.  Got buffed tires, they work fine and saved enough $$$ to pay for the trip, and had a good visit.  I called, made the deal, and, they had them mounted a ready when I arrived just from the phone conversation.

OOPS:  I thought you were in Iowa, may be a little farther than originall thought.  Still worth a free phone call to their 800 number.

My dad just got a new set of Continental 14.9 x 28 on his Deutz last week.  I think the two tires were around 800.   That did not include new tubes, or dismounting and remounting.   He also had the fluid pumped out of the old ones and put back in the new ones.

Chuck were the continental tires radial or bias ? as we have had no end of trouble here in U K with continental radial tires 1st you know when you got a problem is when u get a flat and strip it down to find that the carcass of tire has self destructed inside nothing visable from outside.

I bought a pair of Akuret 13.6 X 28 about 5 years ago. I've been impressed in them. I looked them up a bit ago and I think they are built by Delta. They have what I call the "mud ring." It has a section of rubber that overlaps the edge of the rim that prevents debris from getting lodged in there. They ran me $510 mount, taxes, and everything. I got them through a local garage. I'm sure they are a little higher now, but man they blew everyone's price out of the water back then. Worth a look...
