Yesterday. I never needed nor wanted one but the one guy I fly had purchased it at an Aumann auction and said he didn’t feel the love for it 2 years later and gave it to me. The motor is locked up but the rest is in nice shape. For the past 2 years I have soaked the cylinders with diesel and atf but she’s still locked up. I’ll start disassembly of the Continental N65 as time allows. Thanks. Dana

yeah, they're a 'love/hate' thing... I've had 3, wished I'd kept the first one,oh well....
I'm kinda surprised about it still being locked... if you could get just a little bit of movement,it'd probably free up...I tossed pipewrench on D-14#1 PTO shaft, got maybe 5-10* CW,then 5-10*CCW.Every day tried to turn ,just a wee bit more,LOTS of 'oil/atf',took 2 weeks before she'd spin 360...
NO sleeves in that engine BUT they are available. Found that out with G#3.

second on the ATF/acetone, give it a a little wiggle with a ratchet on the crank bolt every day and she'll break free. Watch them Dana, they multiply like rabbits, you'll have a barn full!

I have a '48 G with hydraulics.
The G uses the same transmission as the B & C.

I've never been all that excited about them. Half the tractor, takes up as much floor space and everything costs twice what the same thing would cost for a B. I've had a bunch of them over the years and luckily someone else wanted to own them more than I did. The one I hated the worst was the one with hydraulic lift. They are designed to steer with your left hand and where did the boneheads put the lift lever, but under the left of the seat. As I only have one left hand I did like the hand lift ones slightly better.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.

Yes, it is a B-C transmission.  More than likely a B transmission since the C had a slightly different second gear.  Bolted to the front is the housing for the "creeper gear" As you know there is a shaft with a slot that becomes part of the gear shift pattern.    Even when we were selling them back in the 40's and 50's the shaft got out of the gear shift area.  To fix it we had to go through the shift lever opening, find the shifting shaft, and reposition it in the gear shift pattern.
Best plowing tractor I sold.
Keep us updated.  You have a neat unit.
Happy New Year!
Good Luck!

Between my renter and me, we have six, four are running at this time but my second one is close to being finished, converted it to 12 volts with one of those little alternators so no sheet metal has to be messed with.  Each machine has an implement more or less permanently attached as time is money when you are growing 100 different veggies on 15 acres.

It’s my understanding that there haven’t been any for several months
I’m sure the crud-19 stopped them from getting imported

Sent you a PM
