Been trying to pick up a reasonable priced D12. Anyway uncle has the family 12 and it’s equipped with snap coupler and a drawbar last 3 I’ve bid on have no drawbar. Why? Is it common to not have a drawbar on them.

Heck I've got 3 D-14s, since 1999 and never used a drawbar...... ..I do have a homemade 'carryall' with a 2" receiver that I can use for pulling 'stuff'.
So I can see other guys using other tractors and not needing the drawbar. Somewhere ,here ,are 3 drawbars and mounts collecting dust....

Problem is, after 60-70 years and several owners, things get lost...

How do lose a drawbar? Really limits usability.

If you only used a plow, blade , disc .......... maybe never needed a drawbar.
------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s.

This is kind of related. Last spring a friend called, needed drawbar and bail for a WD. I've got one, come on over. Sold him the best one I found in my parts hoard. Well, WD 'Micha' had the drill on at that time. Pretty sure I sold him Micha's drawbar. Recently found enough spare parts to get one back on the tractor. Yesterday I found another one in the hoard, just need a good bail to go with it. All tractors have drawbars again.

A lot of people put a 3pt adapter on that goes into the snap coupler use it that way and the draw bar gets lost or not sold with the tractor.

If you are looking for a D12 keep an eye on Auction Zip, CL and FB MP. You can search all of these as far as you are willing to travel.
It's too bad you missed the one Fred had, it had everything on it you could possibly want.
I bought one and ended up not liking it for what I wanted it to do. It went to MN from MI. The gentleman sent me pictures after he had it restored.

Like Steve said, they must have had a lot of Snap Coupler equipment where you need to remove the Drawbar to access the Snap Coupler.

Nice looking tractor, for sale for about 2.5 times what it sold for new! Doubt if the seller will make much profit off it even at $6,000.

1959 D-12 is just a small step up from a CA.
still 5 volt starting, CA hydraulics but no differential clutch.
Basically just the D Series sheet metal
I'd value at around $2,000
