Dr Allis or someone.After running for an hr or so I get hyd oil running out the weep oil on the bell housing.Also the low rpm light will come on even though I'm running 2200 rpm.Doesn't come on until I run hard for an hr or so and the leaking gets worse.Still pulls good.Doesn't slip.Thanks if anyone can help.The dealers around here no nothing.

Sounds like a leaking input shaft seal on the front of the transmission. Power Shift?? or Power Director?? either way the leak won't stop by itself and yet until the torque limiter gets oil on it and starts slipping, you can continue to use it. How much trans oil (dipstick fill) have you added?? You could try some automatic transmission "seal softener" in the trans oil...nothing to lose if it doesn't work. Remember the tranny holds 7 plus gallons of oil if you decide to treat it.

Thanks Dr Allis.It's really not using that much oil yet.It is a ps.It just annoys me when it never leaked before.How hard of a job is it going to be to go in and fix the seal.I have put clutches in tractors before...just never have been inside a ps.Thanks again for the help.

The input seal is on the front of the bell-housing and pretty easy to get to after you split the tractor. If your RPM light is on when engine is above 1800, that means you have low/inadequate oil pressure for your transmission. This will lead to problems if you don't correct the pressure or verify that the sensor is bad.

I had a 7020 that the 1800 rpm lite would come on above 1800 after it was run for a couple of hours. We replaced the sender, then the pump, finally found the wire to the sender behind the fuel tank had rubbed on the trans housing and was worn thru. The trans had to be hot before it would ground out the wire and turn the lite on. Had to move the fuel tank to find it, what a head scratcher!!!!!!! by the way it was a power shift too. HTH

Ran into the same problem on the sender for my 7000. It was sitting on a hydraulic line and when it got hot it would start to flicker and come on dimly. This only started after replacing a leaking sender, so I naturally suspected my own clumsiness for causing the wire to ground somewhere else besides the sender. Definitely worth looking into before splitting and getting a lot of money in pumps, etc.

Had same problem with light on our 8070, replaced filter, cured problem for awhile. replaced sensor, now its fine. Also check the wire leading up to top of tranny for cuts. Sensor is behind left fuel tank, so you'll want to get fuel level as low as possible so you have less fuel to drain out.
