The boys were taking tractors to the Threshermens Reunion tonight and the WD started then died and while cranking it they ran the battery down. So they swapped the new 6 volt out of the WC and it started right up. So now I have the 8 volt to charge, can I put it on the 6 volt charger? I will swap it back tomorrow as I assume the generator on the WD puts out more voltage. It has a mag, but for some reason they didn't want to pull start it in the rain. LOL!

The 6 volt charger probably will charge it some but not any where near all the way.

The WD generator is probably a third brush with a cutout, no voltage regulator. Its more of a constant current charger and will charge fully and then some.

Thanks, the 8 volt was on the tractor when I got it and has worked great up to today.
