Who sells quality cylinder head studs for a WC engine? It is the older engine with 12 studs. Fine thread on top coarse on bottom. Eight are 1/2”x 4-3/8” and four are 1/2”x 5”. Mine show some wear so I’m concerned about stretched threads and how that affects torque. Or do you guys just reuse the originals? Opinions please. Thank you.

If you are concerned with studs stretching at the threads, the simple check is to take the stud in question, and thread the appropriate nut on each section of thread.  If the threads are stretched, the nut won't go any further than where the stretching starts.  For overall length, you can check with a machinist's ruler, or a pair of calipers. Not building a manned rocket here, so its OK to re-use.  JMHOWink

Thank you. I’ll reuse. I just found out new studs from Agco are almost 200.00 bucks.
