Greetings all,
I am looking to add a tool to my arsenal, and I am curious if anyone can help with their input.
I am hoping to purchase a code reader that will read my 2006 Freightliner M2 with a CAT C7 Accert engine, and my 1997 Kenworth T300 with a Cat 3126 engine.
The pin connections are different on the two trucks .  The Freightliner has 9 holes with 6 pins in them, and the Kenworth has 6 holes with 4 pins.  They are both round, and about the same size.

I already have a CAN/ODB II reader for my small trucks, but trying to read codes on my larger trucks sure would help.

Do any units exist that will allow me to read both trucks?  Looking on amazon, there are readers, but reading the reviews and the comments, some don't read the older trucks.

Thank you
John

I'd take this question over to heavy equipment forums, Trucks or Shop talk forums.  Big trucks use a different reader than lil trucks. Best way I can describe it, but the guys over there could get you up to speed, so to speak...

Here's a link, might work!Wink

Just put semi code reader in your search engine. I see that Amazon has one for $195. Comes with obd connector and 6&9 pin y cable. Made by nexxas. I'm sure there are others that's just what showed up in my 10 second search.b https://www.amazon.com/Scanner-Sensor-Calibration-Engine-Reader-dp-B0739WS69C/dp/B0739WS69C/ref=dp_ob_title_auto" rel="nofollow - https://www.amazon.com/Scanner-Sensor-Calibration-Engine-Reader-dp-B0739WS69C/dp/B0739WS69C/ref=dp_ob_title_auto
