Got tired of trying to find a decent fuel tank for my C. I've had them welded, coated, and replaced and they always leak and ruin the paint. Bought an aluminum tank , mounted it in the back, problem solved. May not be for the purist but an option.

| Yes, made it out of an old case eagle hitch. I've owned this tractor for 43 years. It came off of a tobacco farm in Alabama. The guy had 12 C's with cultivators on all of them. This is the second time I've restored it. |

what are the curved plates mounted on each end of the rock shaft, above and behind the fenders ? ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

| Steve, to be honest I have no idea. They were on there when I bought it and I just liked the looks so I left them on there because they were different from other Cs I had seen. |

hmm......some kind of tobacco leaf 'deflector' ?? odd idea( hay it's DARK here,sigh) , anyone thought about making a gas 'bladder',sinilar to what airplanes have in their wings for fuel ? ------------- 3 D-14s,A-C forklift, B-112 Kubota BX23S lil' TOOT( The Other Orange Tractor) Never burn your bridges, unless you can walk on water |

You know JayB, I thought about that a while back for the tank in my D17. I was shooting the bull with a buddy who races and was asking him about the fuel tank wedged into the back bumper, and how they don't have more explosions. He laughed sand said "that's a bag of fuel inside the 'glass housing" May look into it more down the road, but if they make 'em for sprint cars, maybe they can be made for our tanks? |

| yes, I have a 2 lb fuel pump, it is low pressure not to over ride that needle and seat in the little zenith carb. |

We had a C that I used to cultivate corn with, and I think it also that it had those tin plates on it. I think they were added fenders. ------------- 917 H, '48 G, '65 D-10 series III "Allis Express" |

They are fenders to keep yourself from getting caught in the notches for the cultivator/plow adjustment levers. ------------- If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere. Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |
