So I got the service manual....doesnt say much.
How does one remove the circled parts?

After removing final drive, it slides off shaft. MACK

Well here is todays fresh hell: Yes the pin used to hold the lower brake pan has sheard off inside....
Here is the inside part...notice there is a collar of sorts that my wrench is around (almost), also note the washers....neither are in the parts illustration I show. Thanks Allis!....also wonder why the other brake surface shown here:

Is not on this illustration?....Oh, well my inner OCD computer programmer coming out...
Looks like this will be it for a while on this project as I am going in for rotator cuff surgury Thursay and will be out of commission for a while...

That pin does not have to come out. Take the small pin out that is below the wrench instead.

Its gotta come out. brake rod is sheared off underneath all that too....besides, I could not live with myself leaving rusted frozen sheared parts in place....
