1964 Serial # 1899 ,engine serial # 3D-01930 , tact works showing hours 6400 Bare back NO PTO , NO 3 point .

Be interesting to see how close the engine serial number is to the chassis s/n of 1899. I'd guess less than 2000 if it is original.

BINGO !!! I would say that is thee original engine right there !!! The 426 at that time in history, only had two uses: the D-21 and I think they repowered some of those T-16 Sugar Babes. Eventually, the 426 was used in gen sets, irrigation pumps, combines, and on and on.

  Got a pair of them . 66 El Camino from Az. rust free, Factory 396 325 hp 4 speed number matching
Bought a lift just to make it easy to finch chevelle .
66 chevelle 138 SS 396 360 HP , Number matching engine ,trans ,rear , frame ,sent it to a guy and done a frame off on it .Now i got to get the rest back together.Winter project ,showroom is heated n AC.
