I am faced with a problem of reestablishing my lawn. It seems to have been a poor year for a yard in this area as the crab grass has flourished along with other undesirable weeds, put down two applications of CG preventer in the spring, having trouble with clover, sprayed with 2,4-D, etc. This has been repeating for the past 4-5 years and time to go in a different direction. I am leaning toward Zoysia, starting with a roundup burn down, same as establishing warm season grasses on my farm. Where are some good sources of Zoysia seed? Has anyone else been down this road? Which way after crossing the bridge, so to speak?

I like a little clover in my yard. Clover makes nitrogen and grass needs nitrogen.

That's it, my grass has too much clover mixed in! = too much nitrogen! and the weeds are greener than the grass,,, if I can find the grass!! LOL

You will love the Zoysia! It will be so thick that weeds cannot grow in it. I used sod and also plugs. Sod is quicker but plugs will get it done also, just takes time. I have not seen the seed but assume it's out there. Good luck.

i my self would use RTFWATERSAVER FESCUE todd valley farms in mead nebraska is the only place i know u can get i and they have seed for sale as well as sod it is self repairing and i have it in my lawn i have a sprinkler system too but i have only used twice this year. it is a hybrid fescue they developed along with the university of nebraska.
