Having a tuff time getting wheel off. Been using a bearing puller. Soaking top bowl/shaft with penetrating oil now.

But I wonder if it is threaded on.

Anyone know if it’s threaded or pressure fit? My guess is pressure.

Will be applying heat on it tomorrow.

Any other tricks I should try?

It's probably splined. I have never been able to remove one without destroying it, so make sure you can get a new one first. I know getting parts for those 5000 series tractors can be a little tough.

If so, lots of heat and penetrating oil will probably be needed to get your old one removed.

Loosen the nut some,then take a dull pointed air chisel put it in the center of the steering shaft.Then pull up on the hub of the of the steering wheel,then let the chisel hammer, usually

will pop loose immediately.Changed one out on a 1365 Oliver a while back same steering shaft.
