So I got a d12 industrial tractor with a loader and a backhoe attachment today no this is not an i40 as I have one of those as well what kind of infor can you guys give me on the industrial d10 and d12 tractors? How many were made when they stopped production of the industrial version and what things were different from the ag tractors thanks

They were made in the early 60's.  I remember going to one of the schools on the D-10 & D-12 Industrial Introduction.  Allis-Chalmers was desperately trying to get into the lucrative light Industrial market that Ford had successfully invented.  Problem was these units were viewed as Farm Tractors even though they had been "beefed up as industrial units" and sales were very slow.  Closed out the line in 1964 and moved onto the I-40
If you can get your hands on the book "Allis-Chalmers Construction Machinery and Industrial Equipment" by MR SWINFORD there is a chapter describing this.

Did they keep any different serial number records from the ag tractors and the industrials before the i40?

I40 ---heavier grill, front axles, tires .... from the PHOTO, the I40 does not have rear spin outs..... PTO ?
