Need to remove engine to replace dead ignition module and cant see how to get the driveshaft undone---looks like solid shaft and cant get to or even see the engine end --oil cooler in the way and all that tin around it.
Anybody ever take the engine out of one of these? --I had the engine out of my 917-h but no oil cooler in the way on it.

Had many out. Do not remove the coupler from hydro input or you will have a nasty vibration. There is a removable cover from the bottom side. Remove it and the 4 socket head bolts that attach the flange to the flywheel. Lift engine out.

If you do want to slide shaft and all out with the engine then the cover is the only thing to remove but if you don’t get the splines lined up correctly on installation it will have a vibration. Some of the vibration can be cured with a new yoke on that end. They are available from simplicity for about $100
