Gotta get the deed done on Wed. I wonder if the Dr's who specialize in these things ever get down in the dumps looking at people's backsides? Gotta show up at 7:40 tomorrow for the virus test and if they find me sane I gets the deed done on Wed. Had a bowel resection done years ago. Forgot to tell them about that. And They gave me a full gallon of crap to drink Tuesday night. Hoping my new book on Bonnie and Clyde shows up in Monday or tuesdays mail
Give me sumthin to due sitting in the bathroom tuesday evening.

the hardest part is getting that gallon of 'stuff' down and sitting on the commode all night! My bride painted Calvin, of Calvin and Hobbs on my behind, the whole behind, took about a qrt of paint, but anyways she paints this face on my backside, just before i went in for one of my oscopes. Had the whole office laughing, Doc took pics of it, gave me one and hung one on the wall in the office

Oh Lordy, Tom, Hope it goes real good for you, I mean the results turn out good for you. Had it done beginning of the year... sure wasn't as fun as it could have been...
Lou sounds like he had a good time.

So far have had four of these, still not good getting the Stuff drank but get cleaned out and over with each time.  So far only one instance of a pre cancerous lesion they removed with no subsequent such findings.

My sympathies as to drinking it down but Good Luck on the inspection!

Wife's uncle had one several years ago and when they pulled the stick out that had the camera on it, it was just a stick...... No camera. Had to go in and get it. I sure do hope they find a new way before I get there

I have put myself on a liquid diet 72 hours before drinking the Gallon of fluid, By them you have already cleaned yourself out, I drink the fluid and go to bed, Get up in time to get to the procedure. I have done this 3 times in the past 15 years, works for me every time. Last Colonoscopy Dr said done come back, Something else will get you before and Colon issues.

First one I had they found a polup that they took out and then had to have 1 every 6 month now it has been at least 8 years so one is in the future. The first one I came too and they knocked me back out to finish.

Tom, hope you get good results from the borescope. Enjoy your stool time. I have had 3, the last one was much better than the first two, they put me under and I got a good nap. For the last "inspection" I just had to do the crap in the box thing. UPS doesn't like it when you smear brown shoe polish on the outside of the box though.

Good luck, you'll get through it like the rest of us.  I've had a couple due to family history.  Last time Doc said no need to see me for 10 years.  Told him, " you think I'm hard to get along with now, I'll be 70, good luck with that."

I've had several of them and the last two they had me drink gatorade and miralax mixed was much better than that other crap.  I've got terrible family history and they told me at the Mayo Clinic get them as often as your insurance pays for them, they started taking polups out of me when I was 43.  So long as they send in the guy that makes you forget about it, it's all good.  Hope everything comes out ok Tom.

Tom, I hope the results are satisfactory for you.  You've gotta ask the Doc if you have a perfect one or not.  Then when the little woman says; "You're just an AH", you can tell her that "No, the doctor said I'm not just an AH, but a perfect one".

All kidding aside, good luck!

I remember the first or the second one I had to only drink this little bottle of stuff.  Always wish the could do that stuff again.

That's gotta be a new low for things I've heard about the procedure.  OUCH!

I watched my first one on the monitor.  The drugs didn't take or the IV wasn't in.  The attendant started screaming.  He says, look at that, I never seen one that looked like a mushroom.  It did too.  I was impressed.  The problem with them damn polyps is they want you to do a repeat in a year.  And the damn things are benign, so why the big deal.  Oh well the last one was clean so I was happy.  Probably comin due for another one soon.

Have fum and just enjoy the purty girls wandering around looking at your rear!

I had one done 10 years ago when I was 40 for a problem I was having. I did like Steve Bright and didn’t eat. Asked the nurse if I could have Mt Dew to drink before I started drinking the concoction she laughed and said go ahead and drink all I wanted to. Realized that night why she laughed, I swear it was straight Mt Dew coming out. Anyway I think although it sucks it’s probably a good idea to clean yourself out like that ever so often.

Hope it's an all clear Tom. I'm on 5 year inspections, I think because the one from the top end did not look as good as it should.

Any of you guys have type 1 diabetes? I do that why I'm asking. I just wandering how they do that because I don't very seriously if they'll want me to go 24 hours without eating. Wonder if they'll make me drink 2 gallons for a 12 hour clean out

I was supposed to go in for one the end of April but either the hospital or I canceled it, never heard from them but probably need to reschedule for sometime this fall.  Somehow, it doesn't sound like much fun.
Several years ago I got a piece of steak stuck in my throat.  My neighbor, an ER Doc took me to his clinic and got the doc who usually does colonoscopy's got me knocked out and pushed it on down.  When I came to, he showed me a picture of it.  Cost me about $500 for my share.  I asked the doc if he uses the same instrument for checking either end, he said he does but always wipes it off each time...
