Have a chanch to buy a 9190 Deutz Allis real cheap. Only problem is that it is plugging the suction screen for the hydraulic pumo. I have not seen the makeup of this contamination. Does anyone know if these tractors have a problem with the ring gear and pinion, brake linings or final drive planetaries. I know these use the same rear end as the White tractor. We have had several of them and they were quite indestructible. Looking for a winter project, but hoping to pinpoint the problem before I get intmitley involved. Thanks

had 9690 do same thing, problem was brake pads disentagratiing and sent pieces everywhere. Agco has updated pads that are heavier and solve the problem. repair bill was $13000.00.

Jeff, I think I may have the 9690 that you are talking about, that sold at auction two and half years ago in N IL. I had trouble with hyd. compensator sticking after I bought it. I polished it and it has ran well ever since. I believe it has had some repair work on it that you are talking about. Very pleased with it now. But you may not be the same Jeff that owned it.

Our 9190 just returned from the shop for the same brake pad problem. This was the second attempt at repairing it. This time it got the updated brakes and the brake valve was inspected and cleaned thoroughly. I think the service man thought something might have been sticking in it and not letting the brake release fully. I hope that fixes it. The 9190 belongs to my father and I own a 9670, hopefully the 9670 doesn't do the same thing.

It is strange the Allis tractors had this problem show up on a few tractors. I never heard of it on the White tractors.

Hey Kevin, same tractor. I am glad it is working out well for you as it was by far my favorite tractor to run, even over the newer agco's. The problem with the brakes was due to dragging around a 24000 pound square baler all over creation, or trying to stop it anyway. Once the heavier brakes were put in, there was never a problem after.

We had ours do the same exact thing. I updated the brakes also and it did fix the problem. The early 9600 series also had an issue., Mike

Jeff, It is a small world. My first job for it was planting and I guess it still had some particules in the rear because the compensator would stick and the Hyds. would quit working. so I polished the compensator and changed the oil and filters and it has worked well ever sense. I did find a piece of a chip from a gear in the diff. oil. I believe it came from when you had it worked on and it was left in it. Because I have run it alot and have not had any trouble with it anymore. I touched it up with a little paint and this spring I put new rubber (deep lug rad.) all the way around it and pulled a 30 foot drill with it in wet ground that my 4w305 would not pull though without spinning out. It has been a very good tractor. Did you ever sell your 8070?
