I have an old Brillion RSS-72 rottary cutter that needs a new gear box.  The bolt pattern is 7 inches x 7 inches  or on a 10 inch circle at the four corners.  I can't find a gear box that would fit.  I only need a 30-50HP gearbox as this is operated with a Allis WD45.  Any suggestion as no one around my area stocks gear boxes.  Jim

depends on what OUTPUT shaft size you need.. I just bought a replacement for a 6 ft mower... 1-3/8 inch round input with shear bolt, and 1.57 inch output shaft with 12 splines slight taper........ this is the STANDARD gear box for most 5-6 ft mowers.... if your OUTPUT is about 1.75 inch, you have the BIGGER BOX..........the bolt pattern on this one is about 7 inch circle. I would cut a 1/4 inch plate and cover your existing hole and mount this new box on the new plate... Cost was about $150..

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

i doubt that Brillion made the gear box.. There are several "standard" sizes.. you need to know what INPUT shaft size and OUTPUT shaft size you need first...

i bought this for a 6 ft mower we use behind a 60 HP FORD.
