Washington, the football team needs to keep the name REDSKINS and change the American Indian Warrior logo to a Irish Potato with red skins.. We have team names of Animals. Why not Vegetables Tomato is another option to keep the Irish from protesting What is wrong with The Washington Redskins with a big plump red ripe Tomato for a logo. No feathers and War paint. It aint the name Redskins It is the LOGO that needs changing.

On second thought. Keep the Redskins Logo and change the name to WARRIORS. I see nothing awful about a football team named the Washington Warriors and keep using the same Redskins logo. Really needs some WAR PAINT added to the logo. Time for bacon, eggs and toast so this east Texas PEA PICKER can got out to the pea patch at first light and get over the whole patch before it gets HOT

Yeah,Thad,,it's just too bad,,,some people cannot seem to be able to look far enough up the road to realize what, we as a nation, are becoming. So, with the current BS against the Goya foods CEO,, I ran to the local grocery store and went straight to the canned food section thinking I was gonna do my part against the friggin crazies,,,,and,,,and,,there were only two cans of Goya left in the whole friggin section,,Lemme tell you guys,,, I felt a GREAT sense of Pride with my fellow Americans for them doing what is right. I bought the two cans thinkin I would go by the food bank and request they be donated to blm supporters,,,,  Bunch of AH's,,,,, Let's everybody do likewise,,,,

In reality "MOST" of the American Indians dont have a problem with the TEAM... Quite a few look at it as a matter of PRIDE... Strength of a WARRIOR.. Its a lot of the YOUNG IGNORANT WHITE PEOPLE that cause most of the problems.. Dont have anything better to do than push their AGENDA. ... and a lot of them learned that BS from OLDER WHITE PEOPLE called University Professors. ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

In college sports, you have the Florida State Seminoles, where the Seminole tribe has specifically come out in support of the college using the name. On a smaller scale, we have the Central Michigan Chippewas, where the same thing has happened. I think, but don't know for sure, that there has been specific support for the Chicago Blackhawks. I could easily see a matter of pride for Chiefs, Braves, Indians. . . . . . . I don't see too many Irishmen ticked off at the Celtics or Fighting Irish. But Redskins? Personally DON'T think so. I'm sure you could dig and find a Native who would say it doesn't bother him, but as a majority of the community, I seriously doubt it. Niece is married to a Native man. Oh, should mention he is also an Iraq Veteran, wounded in action, newly graduated policeman who has built himself up from nothing. He says it's not a good name. Most of the etymology of the word is meant as derogatory / demeaning. |

Other than Paul's suggestion back up the page ( which I kind of like),at this point they are just "The Nameless" team???? Or if you want upset them "the former Washington Redskins". I guess since there will not be any sports until Trump is whupped..........I mean the virus is whupped,they don't need a name.

I still like the red skin potatoes or the white skin Kennebeck variety on my plate at suppertime. And I ain't Irish. Which Tribe if I may ask,,? My Wife is Chippewau from Nort Dakota. If somebody took an actual count, they would discover that most of the "Elders" refer to those sports names with a sense of Pride. I will say that some if not all the nicknames ever used have,, at times,, been used in scorn altho most do refer to those things that the Elders are proud of. It is the "younger Generation" of all races that want to "fundamentally Change America" because they have become SO used to "Free Everything",,,,sadly,,they gonna realize that money Does Not grow on trees, no matter how much they water them trees,,,,, |

Take away ALL Native American names from all states, cities, towns, burgs, mountains, hills, bluffs, lakes, rivers, etc....then lets see who is going to holler about all of that!?!?
