Just got delivered and it brought rain.  Real rain.  Decided to pull the trigger on the 8010 Pd.  It's much bigger than my 185's.  Should be nice.  Will keep my eyes out for 6080 next.

It's beautiful on the out side.  The cab is pretty clean.  Has some moisture issues from from bad window and door seals.  A little disappointed on few things.  I bought the tractor from a long time dealer collector.  He overstated some of it's condition, but it is 37 years old.  Main worry is the AC he said his mechanic of 41 years went through it and said the AC was perfect.  Except it only cools when you but a garden hose to the condensor in the front.  The blower on high sounds like it's getting ready to jump out.  Some lights don't work which he was proud to say they all worked.  All in All the tractor is sound mechanically from all appearances.  We'll find out.  I will call him on Monday and see what he says.   I bought the tractor seeing only pictures and had it shipped down.   It has 4600 hours.  I'm going to take the top off and clean everything inside and replace the stereo and speakers while I'm there.

Wow that’s nice, congrats!!!! It can be aggravating sometimes when a seller ‘oversells’ or ‘memory served differently’ but I guess depending on what you got for it’s still a great unit....especially since they don’t make’em anymore.

Sweet 8010, hopefully you will be able to figure out the lights and AC without too much time and expense. Never understood why folks feel the need to lie and expect to get away with it. I hope you have its condition documented before you purchased it? Email, text.

Except it only cools when you but a garden hose to the condensor in the front.  The blower on high sounds like it's getting ready to jump out

wash that condenser coil out GOOD and make sure there is plenty of air flow thru it.. no blockage..

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Does it still have the a6 compressor? When you remove the top I think you will find it all plugged with dust. Its an annual maintenance thing that has to be done. Putting a sanden style compressor and new drier on mine has made things more dependable and way more comfortable. Good luck and enjoy

Thanks for all the replies.  Just started all the maintenance.  All the fluids are new. Going to take the top off and clean the evaporator coils.  The two side filters were painted over with the new paint job.  Ordered new ones.  The AC system looks original (compressor, condensor, lines etc.)   except for 134 conversion.   Was taking to a local mechanic who cut his teeth on Allis in Kansas said to add and addition condensor up front and put in the up graded fan from AP air in the cab.  He said the original condesor is just too small for R 134.  Still researching the best fix for hot Texas summers.  I've got about 3 weeks before next cutting of hay.

Tim

if you haven't found out already, that top is heavier than it looks, and awkward to handle...
