Great video. I feel for the bloke on the two horse plow. My back would be killing me before I could make one furrow bending over like that.

That was my thought, why would you adjust the handles to have your back bent.Confused Just crazy.

I have never run a plow,Wink but been turning dirt for over for better than 50 years doing other forms of tillage. Time is always at a perineum in normal farming, but watching this I am guessing time is not real important. Or at least starting and stopping at the mark is more important.  So what all is important. My guess is being a even depth and flipping the dirt over,Wink and going straight.

Hi all the plot we plough is 100 meters X 20 meters you have 20 minutes to do
The Opening split ( tipping one furrow left turn round and turn two furrow so you have a V shape )
you have 2 hours 40 minutes to finish the rest of the  plot
Crown ( you tip two furrow back into the opening split turn round and put two more in the split on the way back then when you have 16 furrow in your crown by going round and round you plough on to the next plot  who has done the same as you have .

things you are judge on
General work weed control the furrow to be packed tight  , seed bed , uniformity of the furrow slices , soil made available ,in and outs , straightness, General appearance and the finish

The Finish is the last 12 furrows and needs to be turn towards your crown
the World champ in the conventional class is Gene Gruber from Minnesota
