Just caught a 35 lb catfish outta Middle River Madison County Iowa. Darn thing is almost as big as him. Wish I could post a picture.

That's quite a fish Tom. Flathead I assume. Wish I lived closer, would love to fish some of the rivers over your way.

That is a big fish, Something he will never forget!  When we fished the creeks we caught smaller ones.  Dad called them channel cats.  They had a purple hue to them.  They were the best tasting fish I ever ate!  That would have been in tributaries to the Mississippi River.  I'm hoping my brother can get me some this year and send them to me!
