I put an add on YT WTB fenders for that 1130 MF I recently acquired, well this guy fro California calls and says he has some,, well don't say much about the fenders, just has a set,,, goes quiet on the phone,,, starts talking about his real estate deal,, or politics,,, well finally said had a quote for $150.00 for shipping to TX, TX found another pair fenders in OK and don't want them.. needs an address and zip code to see about shipping here. ok.. few minutes later calls back and says yea, $150, never an asking price for the fenders, but freight only takes cash, no CC, cause theres a mess up at the bank,,,I finally get tired of the BS an tell him I gotta go, when ya find out something, call me.. so I gets on the tractor, bout an hour he calls,, now I figure somethings not right, told him to text me pictures, said he would if he can find a camera, bla, bla, bla, bla sooo,,, was he sucking info off the phone? cloning it long distance? I don't think a addy and Zip code gets ya much without a ssn, birth day, etc.

Sounds like he was just trying to get you to send him money. i would block his number. If he needs to find a camera to take pictures to text you, why don't he take pictures with the phone he's gonna text you with?

Yea..that's what I thought,, he was prolly wantin western union,money gram or some such,just never got to there...that way he'd have the cash,and I wouldn't have no backup...
Found some somewhere else anyway,, I know they are reputable salvage yard...

The most he would need to calculate shipping would be a zip code, not full address. He's probably not legit.

Ive had ads on YT classifieds before, always get calls from CA telling me he has just what Im looking for - lets me explain about the stuff and then really talks it up - always wants Western Union but in a womans name, tell him ill think about it , and then the endless calls start- once he got out of line and blocked that number ! Its a scam for sure

I got educated about scammers by an Amy Leigh Hanchett in Kansas. I advertised on the Forum in classified for a specific size & brand of tire. Amy responds. Says she owns a tire store in Kansas & just happens to have a new, old stock tire & it's exactly what I want. Sent a photo of her standing next to the tire. Googled her. She exists. Agree on price. I send money. Amy still has my tire. I tried calling, texting, e-mail. Amy says she miscalculated the shipping. Send more money. Then it was something else. Send more money. I told her the deal was off, asked for a refund. Amy still has the money & the tire. Googled her recently and there's an article about Amy Leigh Hanchett the rip off artist. That guy has it right!

I got to thinkin while on the tractor, yea,,, this guy dosent even have what I'm looking for,, he'll find some generic picture off the web and send that..i'll see what he sends,,,just tell him I found a better deal..... got a call later from gap tractor,(salvage yard) he found what I'm looking for, and I know he's legit

I got a call the other day from someone from D.C.(caller ID) and their first words were " I know your waiting for this call on your stymulis Check "
My words " No Im Not " then hung up
