I just found a D-14 with a Woods RM-306. I see this large knob in the lower right hand corner on the instrument panel.  Anyone know what this does?  Not a choke or light switch, it plulls something under the fuel tank.  Thanks in advance.

Belt pulley engagement control. If you don't have the belt pulley on the tractor and would like to sell the knob and linkage I'd be interested.

That control rod seems to be expensive - only saw one and more than I would pay. I got a cheaper PTO control rod from a WD or 45. Bend it a little, then cut center part out, over lap and weld to length. Pretty easy to do and covered up with the side panel.

Thanks Rick.  I pulled the knob out and there is a belt pulley installed there but nothing happened.  What should I look at next?  Thanks in advance.

The crank lever for the belt pulley is made into the torque tube. If you have no pulley on the outside of the frame then there is nothing inside connecting the crank arm. It just hangs inside there. It would be nice if you couls post some pics and demintions of the linkage as I need this linkage setup.

There is  what appears to be a pulley on the outside.  When I pull the knob out the pulley does not turn.   Is there another step to complete?  Thanks in advance.

make sure it is in the lever(if your side panels are hiding seeing it). let the clutch out.
