After years of keeping my eye out I finally found an old Johnson Sickle Servicer locally for cheap. It's definitely used but has plenty of life left in it. New ones are about $500 and you can still get replacement parts. Anyone else used one?

I bought 1 at a consignment auction. Musta been worn out. After numerous attempts to get it to work, I went to bolt on everything. Tossed it on a load of scrap that summer. Good luck with yours.

Used one back in the 80's. The guy I drove Gleaner MH2 combines had one. We rebuilt combine knifes several times in the 7 years.

With the bolt on sections today not much need of one.Wink Unless you want to stay old school with rivets.LOL Then it becomes valuable.

That's the best tool ever for working on knives. I saw one used about 20 years ago and after that, I just had to have one. After a couple years, I got one at a dealer close out. You can almost fix a single broken section with them as fast as using the tool to do it in the mower and if you want to redo a completer knife it's as slick as melted butter.

i too only use bolted on ones anymore, even if they come with rivets, easy to change over to bolt on.

I have a few complete bars to redo and they certainly are the ticket for that. Sometimes the bushings and plates, rivet punches, etc. get worn out after a lot of use but you can buy new ones.
