had one start leaking on the skid loader on Wednesday. #3 son showed up today, had to block up the lift arms, pull the seat and remove a hydraulic valve to get to it. I would never have gotten the dang thing off with this darn back. Wasn't too bad for him to do. Hope I can get 1 made up tomorrow.

Just 1 hose? That's a start to good day around here . Seems like when I have to replace houses or rebuild cylinders there's at least 2. Or they come one after the other

Got's the dang hose made today. 30" hose and 2 swivel ends, $93.00. just plain theft. I got the new hose hooked up to both fittings but I haven't got the strength in my darn left arm to push down on the dang valve and get the bolts pushed back thru the frame. #1 grandson is comming about 11:00 AM tomorrow. Outta have it done in an hour. Old gal got's plants in the new green house today. I'st ones in it. And I got the new carb on the tiller tonight, but I am having a heck of a time getting the dang governor spring hooked up. These guys tucked it in behind the gas tank and I can't find 1 lousy pair of needle nose pliers to teach in there and hook it up.. Oh well she sez I got's delieverys to make tomorrow. I'll get a pair of new needle nose in the AM.

The prices of hydraulic hoses is out of hand. Oil prices are so low but a quart of oil, hydraulic hoses, tires and batteries are through the roof.
I considered buying an older Ford backhoe a year or so back. It needed several hoses replaced. They were the determining factor of why I didn’t buy it.

inner cylinder on boob of backhoe started leaking badly last fall. Was the one inside boom. boom had to come off machine and be disassembled to get it out.
I figured I'd better start changing hoses that were buried inside of things while I had it apart. Since I am not very smart I only took a couple hoses off at aa time so I could remember where they went. about the 4th trip to where I get my hoses made the guy was grinning at me. I didn't change all the hoses on boom but I did do all the ones that would require some disassembly. when I got my bill I knew why he was grinning at me I think it was $700 for hoses
but they had been on there since 1970

Blew a drive motor hose on a mini ex about 500 yds from home. Pumped out 5 gallons in about 2 minutes. Sitting right in the middle of the driveway when it happened. No go around. Figured out how to take out the planetary gears to pull it home. Fluid everywhere. $35 for the hose and ends. Boy is in with a hydraulic shop he does business with.

I got's the dang thing back together today. 2 new filters and a pair of kneedle nose pliers was $97.00. I forgot it has 3 of those filters. I ordered another off the computer. $16.90 includes tax and shipping.
