Hi I am always looking for parts and saw a really nice looking 170 on the Madison, WI craigslist. Enter 170 Allis Chalmers in search under farm and garden. Wish I knew how to show link.

New 16.8 x28, I prefer the 18.4 on those tractores.

What is that shaft sticking out of the front axle brace/support for?

That's the axle pivot shaft moving forward and out of place because the retaining bolt at the rear is sheared off and missing.

Looks like a pig in a blanket.  An abused and neglected tractor with a shiny paint job.  Other issues I see are dangling wires hanging off the engine and mangled hydraulic lines.  Probably had a rough life before that paint job.
