So..I took the Roto Baler out in the Alfalfa the other day and it was working great! I made 17 bales and then it broke. I notice a couple times that the very top roller was bouncing up and down while I was making some of the bales...I didnt think anything of it. then all of a sudden half way through making a bale the twine tube falls then the entire top roller collapses to...which it has done before, but this time it came out of the brackets that it sits in. My question is...why was the upper roller band bouncing? and why does it collapse down like this?

Is your soft center brake free? Loosen it all the way up, than rotate the drum inside the brake lining a few times. Send me an e-mail if you have anymore questions. As far as the upper roll, tie it in place with wire or a u-bolt of some sort. Not too often do you seen one that has never been tied down, but once and a while you do. It only takes one time to put it back on for the operator to remedy the situation.
