Does anyone know the brand of this style of muffler?  It came on the tractor and I some how doubt its original buy maybe?  Some one asked what it was and I don't know?  It is a very heavy, maybe 14 gauge steel.

I'm not sure of the brand, but I have one just like that that is NOS.  I will sell it for $20 + shipping. Send a PM if you are interested.

Pumpkin Man, does the walker have the same outer ring at the bottom like a nelson that keeps water from entering the manifold?  Early this spring the tractor was outside when a strong rainstorm hit and I had to pull the plugs and drain the oil to get it all out, plus I really wish my CA was quieter when its really pulling.

firebrick  the Walker nuffler inlet is recessed so it fits over the manafold with a renforced tail piece that bolts to the manafold on C/A,s & new replacement manafolds.
the # on the muffler 22028.      &  3N8A   lot of $ but Good stuff.

The 22028 number is the napa number, looked it up at napaonline, and your right 73$.  Is it pretty quiet?

Thankyou

The Walker and Nelson mufflers both have the skirt at the bottom to keep the water out of the manifold. The Walker is quiet,I think...maybe even a little more quiet than a Nelson.   Rick

There is an original nelson on one of my ca's, I know it's much quieter than the stanley's.

I have a Nelson 3N84 on my 1951 B and a Nelson 4566 on my 1956 B.  The 3N84 number is an earlier number and was superseded by the 4566.  The Nelson sound simply cannot be beat.  I also recommend Steve Fischer's stainless steel mufflers.  They are based on the old Nelson designs and sound just as good.  After seeing them first-hand at Hutch, I bought one as a Christmas gift for my dad about five years ago.  It was well worth the money and still looks like new.

How time flies.  I checked my records and it was 2003 when I ordered the muffler from Steve.  As of 11/08, he was still selling them.
