Today marks 44 years that Shirley and I have been married, it's a great lifestyle and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Of coarse you wouldn't change it. You need her to navigate on your trips! If you didn't have her, you'd get lost like me all the time ya ole' coot!!  LMAO!!  Fred told me that one day, so I'm just relaying the comment. I don't know, that Fred is somethin'. He's always talkin' bout' ya like that. That's not right Big D. That just ain't right....  ROTFLMAO!!
BTW- HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO YOU AND SHIRLEY!! She should get an award. (ya ole' fart)

Congratulations!! My wife (Shirley) and I celebrated 49 years in July.
Unfortunately, folks like us are becomming a thing of the past.
Many younger folks can't deal with the "trials and tribulations" and just don't try
hard enuf.

Congradulations to the Grams. We have 35 years to date. Next time Shirley navigates you in this direction I'll make sure the wife is working, if they ever get together & compare notes our gooses may be cooked! Darrell when I first saw this post I thought you may have been talking about years after Fred's 21st birthday...Harvey

Happy anniversary Darrell and Shirley! Hope you two have many more. I think Brian G. hit the nail on the head...SOME of the younger folks just can't cope with things today and just don't try hard enough! It'll be 33 years for me and Sherry in October.  Rick

Let's see now... Fred said you were 41 when you got married... and if you've been married 44 years... that would make you... OLD!

Congrats to da boataya. 44 is a real milestone.

It's allways nice to see Steve throw Fred under the Bus and it was also nice to receive the nice compliments from everyone who posted, I agree with some that long term marriages are harder to find now days. I have been married twice as many years as I was single and I think it would be tough living any other way.

You know, this will be the 50th year of my marriage to Jean.  If I had picked a wife from a catalogue I could have done no better.  We have had an outstanding marriage.
Congratulations to you Darrell.  Jean and I wish you the very best.
Good luck!
