The moles are there because you have grubs in the ground, treat the ground and get rid of the grubs, and the moles will go away.

Get rid of the grubs but don't plan on using your yard for anything other than decoration.  If you don't have any pets or kids around I suppose you would be alright.  I guess the stuff only lasts 6 to 7 years!

I had to go look the trap up and watch the video, neat.

I use a trap called the mole eliminator.  It is deadly also.

As far as treating acres for grubs, lets get serious.  Sides moles are on the move always around here tunneling in search of a food rich environment.

I use  a granular stuff on the yard to kill the grubs.. Put in on just before it rains. RAin puts it into the ground. You / pets / Kids can play on the grass the next day. I only do a couple acres, but it works.. Moles leave for the summer.. Normally see a mole tunnel again late in the fall..... they do come back.

I have heard about Milky Spores and thinking of doing that maybe this year.... says it works for 5- 10 years.

What does it do to the fish worms ?

poisen kills earth worms on contact.  I hate moles because they also  eat   catalpa worm pupa.  Full grown catalpa worms burrow in the dirt to pupate.

The adult Japanese beetles  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pupa" rel="nofollow - pupate  in July (in the Northeast United States) and feed on flowers and leaves of shrubs and garden plants. During this adult stage, the beetles also mate and the females lay eggs in the soil in late July to early August. The eggs hatch soon afterwards and in this  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larva" rel="nofollow - larval  or grub stage, they feed on the roots of grass and other plants. As the weather gets cooler and winter approaches, the grubs go deeper into the soil, and feeding declines as they over-winter.

In August, when the grubs are close to the surface and feeding, they are vulnerable to infestation by milky spore. This is also the optimal time frame for turf inoculation or applications with milky spore to increase milky spore in the soil environment (there are product specific guidelines that should be followed for milky spore application).

Resident spores in the  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soil" rel="nofollow - soil  are swallowed by grubs during their normal pattern of feeding on roots. This ingestion of the spore by the host activates reproduction of the bacteria inside the grub. Within 7–21 days the grub will eventually die and as the grub decomposes, billions of new spores are released into the soil.

Milky spore in the soil is not harmful to beneficial insects, birds, bees, pets, or people; and milky spore, like other bacteria, is highly survivable in drought conditions but suffers in temperatures of Zone 5 and colder.

I drove the moles out of the yard by plumbing the exhaust of several smoky small engines into their tunnels.
