You have 2 different style compression fittings. The new fitting looks like an IH style fitting. What happened to the compression adapter fitting that was in the old sediment bowl?

I would recommend you to remove the other end of the gas line from the carb, then take the gas line and your new sediment bowl into O'Reilly's right there in Lynden and ask the parts man to help you with matching up the correct fittings. I used to deal with them before I moved from the area but I found them to be helpful. Be sure to use teflon sealer or tape or other trusted sealer for the threads on the gasoline fittings. I wish you success, you've got a nice tractor

This fitting goes in the tank first that the sediment bowel then screws into.

These are the correct OEM fittings.

I never seen a fitting like that before!---All of mine screw directly into the tank! ----interesting ! LOL!!!
