I pumped about 8 gallons of 4 year old 110 octane out of my Camaro(finally driving it again, have to go get a haircut..)
Some tell me it does not go bad, other say make weed killer. It smells OK. I will put in glass and see if it separates.
If it is bad, will the JD G burn it OK ? or my 45? the G is a strong fresh engine.
  mix it 50/50 ?

thanks,Larry

Put it in the JD G that way if it hurts anything it will be a laughing matter, LOL

With a dozen tractors around here and most dont see a lot of use I have gotten used to that bad smell when I remove a gas cap and as long as it isnt too bad we run it with seemingly no affect. if it REALY smells bad we use it like roundup, away from the well of course.

Easiest thing to do with old gas is just mix it with fresh and you'll be to go. I would bet 50/50 would be just fine.

I have been running it in my Z turn Kawaski lawn mower.

the gas may be old but might still work in lower compression engine. The new formulated gas with the oxygenated additives will last 30 days or so at full additive strength but sours real fast after that.

In my experience, the higher octane gasolines seem to go much longer before turning to varnish. Some cheap gas will turn to varnish in just a few months given the right storage conditions, but I've seen 100LL Avgas be apparently fine after five years of storage in a full, tightly sealed can that has been kept in a cool dry place.

If it had ethanol in it, I wouldn't use it. But if it's straight gas, which if it's 4 years old it should be, whats wrong with using it if it doesnt separate?
