Picked up some spare Allis & Simplicity garden tractor parts tonight & much more for my Allis 716H.  2 gas tanks, 3 hoods (2 with lights), set of blades, three grass deflectors, two drive shafts, 3 sets of deck belt shields, 712 hydro shield, steering wheel, dash, a box, can and 5 gallon bucket of misc parts including gas gauges, lift cables, special bolts, blade mounting parts, etc.  Course it all won't fit the 716H but much of it will and you never know what I might buy in the future.  Didn't think it was bad for $50.  Mike

Well,Mike...you know...that's how things get started. First you buy a few parts, then more parts and the next thing you know you've got an entire garage full of parts! Heck...you might even start collecting AC mowers next, who knows? Looks like a great buy though for 50.00! Man,I never seem to find those kind of deals anywhere!  Rick

Mike looks like you hit the mother load there old buddy. You will have the 716-H mowing better that a new mower. I just tested my corn(it's running 22%) looks like I need to stay home and get the combine and truck ready to go, I have to work next weekend and I think the corn might be dry by then. So have fun on Sat and Sunday at the show, Dad was all ready to take his model T to Boone Ville So he is not to happy with me but knows the corn is more important.

That the kind of luck Mike has!!!!
I'd pay three times that for half the parts he got and not get a bucket, orange or not. LMAO

Yep, I think that was Terry in IL's stuff, I had bought some stuff from him years ago, his prices seemed high then, but by the time I had seen it listed for $50 I knew I'd missed it. Glad someone got it who will make use of it. Be careful, the garden tractors are addictive. I have around 20 AC/Simplicitys that are in the works.

I'm gonna hitch my wagon on this topic:

I'm looking for a complete electric starter setup for a cast iron Briggs 10-11hp engine. If anyone has one they'd part with I'd be interested.

Also, there's a Allis Chalmers 3500W generator on craigslist in my neck of the woods for sale.
