I checked the classified but there didn't seem to be much in this category posted so if this is in the wrong place please let me know.
After much consideration I'm going to be selling my grandfathers 1955  HD5. I've posted on here and have had lots of advice on this machine but at this time I simply cannot dedicate any time to the dozer.  I had plans to restore it but I don't see that happening at this point in my life. Realistically it would be 15 years and I cannot let it sit that long.
My father believes this machine has less than 3000 original hours. I'm not certain since I've known the meter has not worked. If anyone is interested I can supply pics info, etc...just let me know. I have it posted locally on CL but I'd rather see it go to someone who can use it and will appreciate it. I'd like to get $3500 out of the dozer which will go to help my dad.  I believe the tracks, idlers, sprockets etc...alone are worth this as they are like new. Engine runs like a top. Hydraulics work great, has a Baker blade. I can give who ever is interested more info. You can message me or I'll respond to this.
TY

Sorry, I had pics on my computer but they were terrible and I have not had the time to get the tarps off and take pics but will do so as soon as I can. Again, if the moderators want me to move this somewhere else please let me know. I can elaborate on the machine further so if there are any questions please let me know. At his point I do know the Final Drive seals leak but only when it sits, for as long as I can remember my dad would just fill them up when he used the dozer then siphoned the oil back out when he was done. It does have new steering clutches...put in there because they were stuck in 1985, since then the dozer probably accumulated 20 hours if that. The shifter has to be tightened up and the generator has not worked since I can remember. My dad converted it to a 12V and would just recharge the battery when he wanted to start it. I have one xtra generator. I disconnected the fuel filter on the side of the machine and put in a Cat filter inline to to the primary filter. My dad did say right before it was trailered to his house in the early 60's that he and his dad updated the drive clutch because apparently the stock clutch was replaced under warranty by the dealer..?One piston may need to be repacked or tightened up and from what I've learned on here the blade valve needs a gasket. Other than that the machine has only been run by AC people. Hope that helps.
