I got a gear reduction starter hooked it up and I have nothing. Did you run a seperate ground to the new starter, I figured it would pick up ground through the bolts. Thanks

I ALWAYS run the ground to one of the starter mounting bolts. I don’t have the tractor anymore so I can’t look at the wiring.

Do a search here for 7000 series gear reduction starter. It will show you how it’s wired. That big lug on the bottom is the ground lug. From your pics you have it wired wrong
