Since our Canadian friends left the freezer door open too long that cold air has gotten all the way down to Florida and the iguanas are freezing up and falling out of the trees. I don't think I would want to get hit by a big half-frozen lizard.

There once was a girl from Tijuana

Who loved to smoke marijuana

But once she was high

She would whimper and cry

Until I let her pet my iguana...

And that there is the sum total of my knowledge on this topic...Wink

Didn't I see a show sometime back where they hunted those thangs then BBQ'd them?  Sounds like an easy opportunity to fill the freezer.

You get sort of a pop sound and basically the same results when you shoot them with a pellet gun.

Just read an article tonight a South American immigrant in Florida was doing just that and gathering them up and throwing them in the back seat of his car. Problem is he had the car heater on and once they warmed up they started running around in the car causing an accident LOL

Sounds like something Red Green would do but I'm sure he would have a good iguana recipe.  Or that other guy that does that dutch oven cooking show.  I did see them eating lizards on that show Naked and Afraid.  I think that ones on AMC!

I ate one in jungle survival school in Panama in1970.   I was hungry and it tasted damn good!  Nothing like living off the land literally.

Far as I'm concerned, they are just snakes with legs.  The only time I could envision myself with a golf club.
