 I suggest buyng a NEW fridge, 1 yr warranty.....$1200

I just learned she's going to pay local SCAMMER $1400+ taxes( 13%) to have it fixed, wit 30 day warranty...

Then these same type of people are always whining that they don't have enough money and things cost to much. They eat out all the time, gotta have their STARBUCKS, and the latest greatest gizmo phone and tv. Can't help em, they will never admit it's their way of life.

Wink I figured I would find the "contracter" was putting in new windows in for you. Had the old one out,LOL an time for vaction to Cabo. So since the "pretty" is not inside your good.

Been 20 maybe 30 years since I asked about a fridge repair. Told all liability that was the manufactuer's becomes the repairmans,so they just don't repair fridge or freezer. In ther Land of Fruits and Nuts. Good to know there is sanity of fixing in some parts of the world.

I used to fix small appliances, no more. By the time get pieces, get the repair done, add up the extra crap that always crops up have nearly always been within a hundred or two of new replacement with a warranty. Gave up, gave in, out with dead in with replacements.

I have a customer that owns a house that is lower than their municipal sewer line in the street. All the drains in their house go into a tank with a pump that lifts sewage up to sewer line. Pump lasts about 3 and 1/2 years . Manufacturer of pump will only warranty 3 years. He called and said pump went out , how much to replace? I quoted him price and warranty. He said he wanted to call around. He called back and said another company says they will warranty new pump for 5 years. I asked him how much . Over twice what I quoted. He still wanted the other company to do it even after I explained they are selling 2 pump replacements . He thinks he is getting a better deal?

The way of the world now, don't fix it, buy new.  The products are now jobs, jobs and more jobs.  One replacement repairman vs. how many manufacturing jobs, sellers, truckers, etc.  you get the idea?
